Why Is Adam Lambert The Frontrunner In American Idol Season 8?
It’s been a long journey to the final three, but over the course of season eight Adam Lambert has emerged as the frontrunner. Although some may disagree that it is a clear path for Adam Lambert to the finish line, it is hard to look past what he has done thus far. You truly have to appreciate music and the kind of talent he has to understand why he is miles ahead of the rest.
It would be unfair to say that he is going up against amateurs who have no talent whatsoever. The remaining contestants have made it to where they are for a reason. They have incredible vocals, star appeal, and know how to work with the crowd. The problem is Adam has all of this plus some. He truly is at a completely different level than the two remaining.
As you begin to look at the contestants left, you will notice that Adam is not miles ahead just because he can hit the high notes and impress the crowd. He has the types of skills that make it almost unfair to the rest of the competition. It is as if he has been in the music industry for years prior. He knows exactly how to control every note he faces whether it is loud, soft, low, mid-range or falsetto.
For some, it is quite intimidating stepping up on the American Idol stage. There is a lot of pressure and millions of viewers watching your every move. However, for Adam Lambert it is nothing more than home. He is in complete control of everything he does on stage. There is nothing that can stop him from nailing every challenge and every week.
Almost every contestant that has stepped foot on the stage has faltered at some point or another. Whether it is for an entire song or a few notes here and there, it is uncanny for a contestant to go through the entire season without struggling. But as you look back on every week you will notice that Adam is the lone ranger who has nailed every performance. This is precisely why he has a clear path to the finals.
All remaining contestants are great in their own way. You cannot take anything away from Danny Gokey or Kris Allen. They have tremendous talent and are in the final three for a reason. Because of this, you have to consider them to give Adam Lambert a run for his money. But for the time being, it is hard to argue against Adam as being the person to beat in the eighth season of American Idol.
American Idol Adam Lambert
As American Idol strolls through season after season, stars emerge and careers are started. Over the years such talent as Carrie Underwood, Kellie Pickler and Jennifer Hudson has made their presence heard on the stage. The competition is heated in season 8, but it appears to be Adam Lambert who is drawing the most attention thus far.
He has delivered amazing performances week after week and has even won over Simon Cowell which is a feat in its own. With every week bringing a new challenge to the contestants, it seems as if nothing can stop Lambert from steamrolling into the finale. Of course nothing is guaranteed, but it would have to be some kind of fluke to knock him out of the competition prior to the finale.
With that said, some wonder if he really deserves the hype. After all, he has already been compared to Zac Efron and Elvis. This says a lot for someone who is just emerging as a true star. Although he does have a decent resume prior to American Idol, it is nothing close to Elvis. Therefore, it seems a bit overboard to put him in the likes of such greatness as Elvis.
One thing has been for sure; his modest personality and charm have made him hard to not like. He has a sense of charisma that wins over the audience while impressing the judges at the same time. Although skill is certainly the most important factor to becoming a star, appearance, stage presence, and how you handle yourself reflect on the entertainer as well.
These are just a few other areas that seem to separate Adam Lambert from the rest of the pack. Because of his prior experience and the work he has done, it seems as if he is ready for a breakout role. American Idol has started musical careers, Broadway careers and acting careers for competitors in the first seven seasons.
What is to come of Adam Lambert in the future is soon to be told. The types of performances he has delivered thus far have certainly set him up for a promising career in the entertainment business. Although some may say he is a phony or seems overrated, there are always going to be skeptics somewhere out there. What matters is how he handles the pressure and what he is capable of delivering over the final weeks of American Idol.
Winning over the judges is certainly a solid start toward claiming season eight’s American Idol champion honor. Being compared to Zac Efron and Elvis is an honor in itself. While you can certainly be a critic yourself, it seems to be the general consensus is that Adam Lambert deserves every little bit of hype he has received throughout the season.
American Idol Adam Lambert and his unique ability to transform virtually any style of music and song into his own, has earned him the mass appeal that he has received. There is no question that he has been in front of the 7 remaining over the past few weeks. Stay tuned here for more videos, news, chat and pictures of American Idol Adam Lambert
